Tarek El-Gillani is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of CloudMask. He has over 15 years of experience in leading product development from inception to maturity, and growing teams and organizational capacity to achieve market success. Tarek was the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of TradeMerit, an early innovator in the area of Business Process Management As A Service, where he led the product development and guided its proven success and recognition in Automotive, Retail and Telecommunication industries. Tarek was also the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of ViaSafe, a leading Software As A Service provider in the area of Trade Compliance. He led the inception of the product and its growth into becoming the largest provider in its sector, until being acquired by Descartes System Group. Prior to that, he was the lead architect for the development and successful implementation of the first Government of Canada certified security solution for the exchange of highly confidential data across Government Departments and Financial Institutions. He holds a bachelor degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Carleton University, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and is Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
